It's Snowing Star Wars Again! 19 New Star Wars DIY Snowflake Templates for 2013.

One of my most popular posts around this time of year has been my original 2010 how to make your own Star Wars snowflakes as taught by a husband and wife team.

http://ifitshipitshere.blogspot.com/2011/12/its-snowing-star-wars-10-new-diy-star.html

Designers Anthony Herrera and Chaunce Dolan of Matters of Grey then jumped on the paper Star Wars Snowflake bandwagon and provided us with more Star Wars Paper Snowflake templates in 2011.

Now, there are 19 new ones now requiring payment or a donation to download the set. The latest DIY Star Wars Snowflakes - several of which will require an exacto-knife and adept cutting skills -  include Princess Leia, Han Solo, lots of transportation and symbol snowflakes and updated versions of several of my previously posted Star Wars Snowflakes.

Here are the 19 newest Star Wars DIY Snowflakes.

Use The Force In An Entirely Different Way. Star Wars Sex Toys.

The designs were created in a galaxy far, far away by Hungarian artist Balázs Sármai, who gained intergalactic attention this past August with a similar creation (shown below), in which sex toys were re-imagined as characters from the Hollywood blockbuster “The Avengers.”

Using The Force To Fight Diabetes. 6 Year Old's T-Shirt Would Melt Even The Darkest Sith Lord's Heart.

Now, here's a product that could bring light, love and hope to the Dark Side.

Six year old Audrey Chau has an older sister, Natalie, who has Type 1 Diabetes. In hopes of one day finding a cure for her sister's condition, Audrey has drawn her favorite characters from Star Wars, with much love and care (and talent). The adorable, yet recognizable characters, have been turned into a t-shirt for adults, youths and toddlers to wear, with all the proceeds from the sales going to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Audrey and big sister Natalie:

Buy one - I did. The price is right ($12), the cause is just and the drawings are great.

Audrey graciously thanks you for your support and says, "May the force be with you!"

Beautiful Typographic Posters Feature Pop Culture Icons and Quotes.

Professional graphic designer and illustrator Ayse T. Werner quit her boring job to be able to what she really wanted to do - photography and drawing. And after seeing these, I'm so glad she did and I think you'll agree.

Scooping Pop Culture. Ice Cream Flavors That Should Be.

What started out as a joke became one of the most popular projects illustrator for Jon DeFreest, aka Jonny Etc. Creating faux Ben and Jerry flavored Ice Creams for Vulture.com and then subsequently commissioned by other sites such as Buzzfeed.com, NYmag.com, and Tauntr.com, the Pop-Culture Pints continue to get giggles.

The faux ice creams are based on Pop Culture TV and movie characters as well as timely subjects and movements.

Star Wars X Nestle Coffee Machines Complete With Light Saber Stirrers and Mugs.

The Official Star Wars branded versions of products released in Japan just keep coming. After a line of eyewear and watches, now we move to the kitchen with tabletop coffee makers. Nestle Japan has collaborated with Lucas Films to release two Star Wars models of their Gold Blend Barista Machines. The limited edition tabletop coffeemakers come in two styles, each complete with light up light saber stirrer and porcelain coffee mug with icon.

The Dark Side:
The Dark Side/Empire model (limited to 3000 units) comes with two side panels, one that with the Star Wars logotype and the other featuring Darth Vader with the words "The Dark Side Is Strong With This One." A coffee mug with the symbol of the empire and a red functioning light saber as a coffee stirrer comes with the set:

The Light Side:
The Light/Alliance Model (Limited to 2,000 units) comes with two side panels- one with R2D2 and the Star Wars logotype, the other with C3PO and says "Thank The Maker." A coffee mug with the symbol of the Alliance and a blue functioning light saber as a coffee stirrer comes with the set:

Both CNET and Gizmodo knocked the items as silly Star Wars collaborative products not worthy of the official George Lucas 'stamp' but they also didn't show both side panels or even mention the light saber stirrers which are, frankly, awesome.

Each set costs ¥9,800.
They can be purchased online here.
Or some Japanese sellers already have them on ebay.
