Star Wars X Nestle Coffee Machines Complete With Light Saber Stirrers and Mugs.

The Official Star Wars branded versions of products released in Japan just keep coming. After a line of eyewear and watches, now we move to the kitchen with tabletop coffee makers. Nestle Japan has collaborated with Lucas Films to release two Star Wars models of their Gold Blend Barista Machines. The limited edition tabletop coffeemakers come in two styles, each complete with light up light saber stirrer and porcelain coffee mug with icon.

The Dark Side:
The Dark Side/Empire model (limited to 3000 units) comes with two side panels, one that with the Star Wars logotype and the other featuring Darth Vader with the words "The Dark Side Is Strong With This One." A coffee mug with the symbol of the empire and a red functioning light saber as a coffee stirrer comes with the set:

The Light Side:
The Light/Alliance Model (Limited to 2,000 units) comes with two side panels- one with R2D2 and the Star Wars logotype, the other with C3PO and says "Thank The Maker." A coffee mug with the symbol of the Alliance and a blue functioning light saber as a coffee stirrer comes with the set:

Both CNET and Gizmodo knocked the items as silly Star Wars collaborative products not worthy of the official George Lucas 'stamp' but they also didn't show both side panels or even mention the light saber stirrers which are, frankly, awesome.

Each set costs ¥9,800.
They can be purchased online here.
Or some Japanese sellers already have them on ebay.

Rugby Never Looked Like So Much Fun. JWT London's Serious Play For HSBC.

JWT London has created this wonderful spot for HSBC as part of their Rugby Sevens sponsorship. Starring former England and British Lions player Jason Robinson and past Australia captain George Gregan, the fast-paced and exciting tv ad was shot by director Paul Middleditch of Plaza Films and beautifully edited by Andy Packer.

The spot (shown below in its entirety) features real life Green Army Men, Cowboys, Centurions, Ninjas, Luche Libre, Elves and more engaged in an exciting game of Rugby played through the streets of Hong Kong.

It captures the popular trend of spectators wearing fancy dress at the tournament and the seriousness with which people take their costumes. It is also intended to represent the bank’s dedication to the growth of the game both at a professional and a grassroots level.

What a fun way to raise awareness of HSBC’s co-title sponsorship of the 2012 Cathay Pacific / HSBC Hong Kong Sevens tournament.

Cynthia Rowley Collaborates With Pampers For Designer Diapers

After the launch of their competitor's Denim Huggies, Pampers has jumped on the designer diaper bandwagon and collaborated with fashion designer Cynthia Rowley to create 11 new designs for beautiful baby bums.

The new chic styles of Pampers, shown above, include pastels, stripes, madras, pockets and prints and should be available in Target stores beginning in mid-July.

"As a mom, I wanted other moms and dads to have more options in every part of their lives -- even diapers," said Rowley. "It's the first piece of clothing your baby will ever wear, and it should be special."

above: Rowley also as a line of apparel, bibs, blankets and diaper bags for infants and toddlers called Hooray designed for Babies R Us.

Jodi Allen, a P&G baby care vice president, says in a statement Wednesday that diaper performance comes first, but parents consider the look important, too.

"Of course parents want the very best for their little ones," said Jodi Allen, Procter & Gamble's vice president of North America Baby Care. "We also know that sometimes it's the little things – like how a baby is clothed – that can bring added joy to Mom and Dad. While performance always comes first, we know that design is also important to parents. We're pleased to introduce the first diaper line that brings together the best of these two worlds."

Dr. Romanelli X Levi's California Beach Capsule Collection

As part of their special Spring/Summer 2010 collection, Dr. Romanelli has worked with Levi’s on a bunch of cool special edition jeans, and tees and one pair of kicks named the “California Beach” Pack. Unfortunately, the jeans and tees are just for the Taiwan market.

The jeans are Levi's 503 and incorporate reversed denim into them.

The shoes:

For the shoes, Dr. Romanelli (aka Dr.X) chose the Chukka model in homage to the Californian surfers and the skaters of the 80s. The kicks sport two-colored laces, vintage jeans, rivets and all.

The shoes are already sold out at Colette, but you can still find them here.
There are also several pairs of the denim kicks on ebay - but they are asking upwards of $400 a pair.

Thanks to Jon Dragonette and Dr.X for the photos.

Previously, Dr. Romanelli had teamed up with Levi's and as well as CLOT, Inc. for a collection leather and denim jackets.
