A Self Promotional Print Campaign for Digital Retouching By Dare for The Orange Apple.

Dare of Vancouver has created this visually compelling print campaign for - as one might guess - digitial retouching by Canada's The Orange Apple. Creatives take note... The Orange Apple was approached by Andrew Ablas and Rob Sweetman of Dare to create the three ads below (as opposed to the client soliciting the campaign) which show two dimensional drawings springing to life as three dimension worlds.

Rugby Never Looked Like So Much Fun. JWT London's Serious Play For HSBC.

JWT London has created this wonderful spot for HSBC as part of their Rugby Sevens sponsorship. Starring former England and British Lions player Jason Robinson and past Australia captain George Gregan, the fast-paced and exciting tv ad was shot by director Paul Middleditch of Plaza Films and beautifully edited by Andy Packer.

The spot (shown below in its entirety) features real life Green Army Men, Cowboys, Centurions, Ninjas, Luche Libre, Elves and more engaged in an exciting game of Rugby played through the streets of Hong Kong.

It captures the popular trend of spectators wearing fancy dress at the tournament and the seriousness with which people take their costumes. It is also intended to represent the bank’s dedication to the growth of the game both at a professional and a grassroots level.

What a fun way to raise awareness of HSBC’s co-title sponsorship of the 2012 Cathay Pacific / HSBC Hong Kong Sevens tournament.

Hello Gorgeous. Renuzit's New Sexy Ad Campaign For Fresh Accents Air Fresheners.

Philadelphia ad agency Red Tettemer & Partners is reverting to the old 'sex sells' strategy (and taking pages from Old Spice and Charisma's playbooks) with their new campaign for Renuzit's Fresh Accents air fresheners. Pec-baring men are hawking the new designer air fresheners in 'After The Rain' and 'Rasberry' scents.

Charisma's Valentine to The Public. A New Sexy Spring Ad Campaign With Eddie Cibrian.

Admittedly, this is a totally gratuitous post. Pure eye candy. I don't even know who the photographer is for this campaign and I'm not even sure I care. This is an ad campaign that goes straight for the hormones, once again proving the old adage that sex sells (or at least receives social media attention). Think of it as a Valentine for my readers.

Tanned and taut, 38 year old actor Eddie Cibrian (most recently of the cancelled network TV show The Playboy Club) is the new body...er, face for Charisma's Spring 2012 ad campaign. The Bloomingdale's luxury brand of housewares has enlisted the handsome celeb (and husband to singer LeAnn Rimes) for a second time to bare his bod while wrapped in the brand's linens and towels.

Shot at a private residence in Los Angeles, the hunky star wears his wedding band in the shots...

... and that's about it. Thank you Lord.

The ads and catalog covers claim the double entendre "Eddie Cibrian has Charisma." As if I cared about his personality:

This is the second ad campaign for the brand featuring Eddie. Last July, the actor represented Charisma by posing sexily between the sheets:

Here's a look behind the scenes of the photoshoot with Eddie Cibrian:

And yes, Happy Valentine's Day to us all. Thank you Charisma.

Ryan McGinley Shoots Edun's First Ad Campaign Using Six Species Of Butterfly.

Founded by Bono and Ali Hewson in Spring 2005, Edun was launched as a for-profit fashion brand to raise awareness of the possibilities in Africa and encourage the industry to do business there.

With the aim of creating a global fashion brand and making beautiful clothing, Edun is committed to developing trade with Africa and encouraging others to do the same. Based on a belief that style should have substance, Edun sources globally so that as its business grows so does its production and work in Africa.

Now, since the inception of the brand, they will be launching their fist ad campaign shot by photographer Ryan McGinley. The six images, shown below, feature six species of butterfly that are all indigenous to Africa.

“We really wanted to capture the essence of Edun, and of what inspires the brand, which is duality and transformation,” said Edun's Ali Hewson in a phone interview with WWD from Africa. She added that it was time to tell Edun’s story through a campaign, and to build on the momentum of the brand, which is posting double-digit growth each season.

WWD reports that the campaign will break in the March issues of titles including Italian, French and U.S. Vogue; Vanity Fair; Dazed & Confused; AnOther; T The New York Times Magazine, and the Sunday Times of London. Short “blink videos” will appear on Edun.com and via social media outlets. A launch event is set to take place during New York Fashion Week.

Edun’s chief executive officer, Janice Sullivan, said the brand is also expanding internationally: The company, which is 49 percent owned by LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, is negotiating a distribution agreement with Itochu in Japan, and planning to open a pop-up shop in Harvey Nichols on Wednesday. It will open a pop-up shop at Le Bon Marché in Paris at the end of March, and for spring it will begin being carried at Bloomingdale’s and Neiman Marcus.

Currently Edun is sold globally in leading department and specialty stores and online.
