A Look At Starbuck's First Tazo Tea Store And The Cade Martin Photos To Promote It.

Starbucks opened up their first Tazo Tea store in Seattle on November 16th of 2012. The Seattle Times reports "Tazo’s 1,700-square-foot store in University Village is a shabby chic collection of grays and greens, with an off-white chandelier at its center and clear jars of teas on its shelves.



The floor is devoted more to selling tea for home brewing than to in-store tea drinking.




It includes 80 loose-leaf teas and a blending station for customers to create their own with ingredients ranging from rooibos to marigold petals."

Starbucks has not yet decided whether or not they will expand the store concept.



To promote the store, they hired award-winning photographer Cade Martin to shoot twelve images for the campaign. Shown below are nine of those images.

Limited Edition Luxury Headphones in Classic and Carbon, The Aëdle VK-1

Aëdle is a Paris-based audio startup specializing in the manufacturing of high-end headphones. To launch the company they are offering limited quantities of their VK-1(Valkyrie) Headphones Classic Edition (400 units) & Carbon Edition (100 units) available for pre-order to be shipped in February. Introduced to the public at this year's CES Las Vegas, they must have received great feedback because these are already sold out!  But they do plan on having more for future availability around April of this year.



Combining latest audio technologies with traditional craftmanship, the VK-1 embed high-performance titanium-neodymium transducers in a minimalistic designed body entirely made of noble materials. Each of the VK-1 aluminum parts are sculpted one by one in a virgin aluminium ingot. Handsewn genuine lambskin leather for headband and cushions.

Damien Hirst's Anatomy Of An Angel Now Available Cast In Black or White Miniatures.

This 2012 edition by Damien Hirst reflects in miniature his original, classically posed Carrara marble sculpture of the same name (shown below at the Tate Modern).

The Hirst sculpture was based on Alfred Boucher's sculpture ‘L'Hirondelle’ from the early 1900s:

In Hirst’s version, cross-sections of her body show the anatomical structure beneath the skin, revealing she is human after all.




Cast in either black or white resin, each in a limited edition of 50, the signature, title and edition number are etched into the resin by the artist.

TV Drama HOMELAND Is Captured in 12 Vintage Album Cover Designs

As a personal project, Creative Director and Designer Ty Mattson set out to create a series of designs to celebrate the award-winning show, Showtime's HOMELAND, after watching the compelling finale of season two.



A self-admitted fanatical fan, he played off of the subtle theme of jazz that appears in the television drama's storyline and designed 12 vintage record covers inspired by the TV series. And he did a fabulous job- see for yourself:
