Cool Designs To Keep You Warm: 50 Heated Towel Racks & Modern Radiators

I've written about the plethora of unusual looking radiators and heated towel racks before..... however a bunch of new ones have emerged on the market, several introduced at recent design shows. It amazes me how the designs continue to get even more unusual and yet still remain functional.

Product Pick Of The Week: Bossini Lumiere Tondo and Quadro Showerheads

Not that most of us need an excuse to linger in a hot shower longer than we already do, but with Bossini's lumiere showerheads, you'll be hard pressed to ever get out.

The Tondo is a cylindrical model (300 mm in diameter) available with the floral, horizontal or vertical stripe. The showerheads have a semi transparent plastic cover and low voltage lighting. They illuminate and come in red, chrome or black.

The Quadro is cube shaped (300mm x 300mm in size) and comes in the same designs. Both the Tondo and the Quadro are equipped with an easy clean system to keep hard water mineral deposits like lime from clogging the opening.

When Solids And Stripes Collide: Corian® Loves Missoni

"CORIAN® loves MISSONI" was a collaboration of the the design versatility of DuPont™ Corian® solid surfaces and the style of Missoni. Kitchen, bath, living and dining areas were designed by Missoni with the use of DuPont's Corian.

Missoni, an Italian fashion and homewares house has long been known for its beautiful textiles, often recognizable by colorful stripes, zig zags and flame stitching. Corian is a material that is commonly associated with durable solid countertops. Combing these 'stripes' with this 'solid' yielded design that is both beautiful and durable.

Product Pick Of The Week: The Starck X Collection Modern Bath

Not Starck. Starck X. In mathematics, the letter X stands for an unknown quantity. In Chinese Taoism, for elevation to the divine. In bath design, it represents the start of a new era. In his Starck X series, designer Philippe Starck maximizes minimalism.




This vision called for extraordinary expertise in working with ceramic: unusual basin divisions, redesigned mixer positions and combinations with surfaces such as yellow and platinum.





The bathroom furniture sparkles with brightly lacquered inserts; mirror elements shine with innovative illumination. Because overflowing water is not a problem, bathers can immerse their entire body.




Talk about relaxation - and a novel bath design, from the individual layout of the surrounding "moat" to the optional remote-controlled lighting.




Even the faucets are treading new and unusual paths: flat, sculptured chrome surfaces echo the pure geometry of the faucet body. The water gushes forth as though from a natural spring, making the ritual importance of water tangible.




New dimensions have appeared in the Waterwall shower system - the perfect blend of minimalist contours and maximum shower comfort.
