Delectably Disturbing 2012 Fall Menswear Collection From Walter Van Beirendonck.

The Fall/ Winter 2012/13 collection of menswear from Belgium fashion designer Walter Van Beirendonck, Lust Never Sleeps, is a bizarre blend of Friday The 13th's Jason, A Clockwork Orange's Droogs and the artwork of Ellsworth Kelly. And like a car wreck, it's virtually impossible to look away. Don't get me wrong, the collection is far from a tragic accident. Impeccably crafted and finely tailored, the bizarre pieces are made with very high quality materials and the overall look is imaginative, if not artful.

Leather face masks, bowlers, knit caps, fedoras, caps, cowboy hats, hip waders, coveralls, thigh high boots, and gloves are paired with tailored suits, color-blocked sweaters and vests in bright, graphic Pez-colored combinations. Mohair, plaids and other interesting textiles blend into the collection of Pop Art-like suits.

Fetish references punctuated the line of whimsical and macabre menswear, such as whip-like canes, black rubber padlock necklaces or tufted fur fingernails on leather gloves.

But frankly, nothing speaks like pictures.

Ad Campaign For Plant For The Planet by Legas Delany Hamburg Uses Cut Leaf Art.

This latest print campaign for the Germany based organization Plant For The Planet was created by Legas Delany of Hamburg (who was also responsible for their large "Stop Talking, Start Planting" campaign) and utilizes the talents of artist Lorenzo Duran. Duran takes the art of leaf-carving and gives it an environmental spin in these three ads by illustrating common causes of CO2 emissions.

Plant For The Planet is an awareness raising global campaign, realized without any budget. You can help them in their fight for climate justice in the following three ways:
1. Become a fan on Facebook
2. Invite your friends to spread the word.
3. Start your own group

For more information visit www.plant-for-the-planet.org

Lorenzo Duran does sell his one of a kind cut leaf silhouettes, some of which are shown below, on his blog. If the leaf is already sold, he'll be happy to recreate it for you.
