Keramos Modular Furniture Is A Collaboration Between Adrianos Design and La Castellamonte And Is The First Product From CoProdotto.

KERAMOS is a collaboration between Adriano Design and La Castellamonte, known for their ceramic stove production and keeper of the ancient tradition of Castellamonte, dating back to 13th century.

Having worked together before, Adriano Design created Stack Stoves for La Castellamonte. Now, together, they've collaborated for CoProdotto, a new business model from Adriano Design which innovates starting from self-produced design and is a new formula for the production of small series in partnership between those who conceive and communicate the product and those who make it, along with global distribution.




From the uniqueness of the production process and the La Castellamonte products, Adriano Design conceived a modular ceramic container / cabinet. Through careful research and thoughtful design, they developed an innovative and distinctive system of ceramic modules fastened with wooden elements, creating pieces of furniture with unique features.








KERAMOS is a rounded corner container with a ceramic shell which makes it immediately recognizable. The pieces are reminiscent of historical terracotta jars which preserved contents over long periods of time. KERAMOS is a special, not ordinary, piece of furniture, a container of precious things which needs to be preserved more than contained.

DDB Shanghai Promotes Walking Over Driving With Crowd-Sourced Art. Green Pedestrian Crossing for China's Environmental Protection Foundation.

The Brief
40% of carbon monoxide emissions come from cars. According to China's Ministry of Commerce; the country is now the world's largest car market with over 500 million vehicles on the road. This is without a doubt having a huge impact on the environment. China Environmental Protection Foundation wanted an attention grabbing tactic to urge everyone to do their bit for the environment. They asked people to walk more, and drive less. DDB Shanghai created an outdoor advertisement on the street to push this message.




The Solution
The agency decided to leverage a busy pedestrian crossing; a place where both pedestrians and drivers meet. They lay a giant canvas of 12.6 meters long by 7 meters wide on the ground, covering the pedestrian crossing with a large leafless tree. Placed on either side of the road beneath the traffic lights, were sponge cushions soaked in green environmentally friendly washable and quick dry paint. As pedestrians walked towards the crossing, they would step onto the green sponge and as they walked, the soles of their feet would make foot imprints onto the tree on the ground. Each green footprint added to the canvas like leaves growing on a bare tree, which made people feel that by walking they could create a greener environment.



The Result
The Green Pedestrian Crossing was carried out in 7 main streets of Shanghai and later expanded to 132 roads in 15 cities across China. A total number of pedestrians that participated exceeded 3,920,000 people. Key media both online and offline rapidly wrote about the campaign. According to research, the overall awareness of environmental protection had increased 86%. After the campaign, the print was exhibited at the Shanghai Zheng Da Art Museum.

Cool New Countdown Clock Tells The Time And How Many Days Left Until A Special - or Icky- Event.

Mr. Jones Watches has just introduced the Countdown Clock. A nice looking tabletop or wall-mounted clock that not only keeps time, but keeps track of how many days until a special - or in some cases, dreaded,  event.



You can choose from 34 different occasions to count down to. Some of the events are quite specific ("birthday," "anniversary," "holiday") while others are deliberately vague ("it's over," "freedom," "the big day"), so only you'll know what you're counting to. The way the clock works couldn’t be simpler: you press a button to flip through the different events until you find the one you want to count to. Next you press the day count buttons to set the number of days you want to count to. That’s it! From then on the day count will decrease by one automatically every day.
