Stunning Print Advertising for the World Wildlife Fund by Contrapunto BBDO.

above: detail from World Wildlife Fund print ad, "Elephant"

Ads of the World, a fast growing site which features advertising from... yes, that's right, all over the world, makes monthly picks for what they consider the best advertising in film (tv), print, ambient, outdoor, online and direct mail.

Their choice for the Best Print work of November 2011 is this simple but visually stunning campaign for the World Wildlife Fund by Spain's BBDO office, Contrapunto BBDO. Three spread ads with the same headline. Same message. Same visual effect. Still beautifully compelling with a well executed effect.

"Leopard"

"Parrots"

"Elephant"

The headline on all three reads "Desertification destroys 6,000 species every year." By the way, since it's not a commonly used term desertification means "The process by which fertile land becomes desert, typically as a result of drought, deforestation, or inappropriate agriculture."

Mounted Life. Stunning Taxidermy Photography By Danielle van Ark.

The Mounted Life is a series of photographs by Royal Academy of Arts graduate Danielle van Ark. She visited the storage and archives of museums around the world and found animals in surroundings and environments so far from their natural habitats she was struck by the inherent contrast and photographed them.

The series makes the most of the juxtaposition of wildlife and industrial imagery. The images are disturbing, funny, haunting, confrontational and even touching in their composition and subject matter.

Fleabag Photography Lends A Paw With Their Pet Portraits.

There are many talented pet photographers out there, but what charmed me about this one is that a portion of your payment will go to the rescue organization of your choice.

A couple of Los Angeles-based female photographers simply wanted to merge their talents and knowledge of photography with their love for animals and pets. And from the looks of their images and happy customers, everyone wins.

For every package (except The Basics package) that is booked, a portion of the package price will go directly to the rescue organization of your choice. Fleabag Photography will make the donation under YOUR name and will give you a copy of the receipt/proof of donation.

You can even feel free to call the rescue to confirm your donation has been received. Donation amounts are based on the package chosen, ranging from $50 - $100, and is completely tax-deductible.
