A Leg Up On High Heels. Wicked New Sexy Shoes From Dukas.
Greek Shoe God, Dukas (who is as handsome as a Greek God himself), has just released some of his newest 2013-14 Spring Collection of unique high heels. My personal favorites are those whose heels are shaped like a pair of sexy pin-up legs, a look he began a few years ago and continues with new styles, materials and colors.

Dukas was born in Thessaloniki on 11th September 1975. He graduated from the American College, acquiring a Master’s degree in History of Art. 2003 was a very important year for the designer’s career as he created his first Shoes & Accessories collection, which contained Prêt-à-Porter products with vivid Haute Couture elements. They were instantly characterized as luxury items and became extremely successful, as they were adored not only in Greece but also in Europe and America.
In the same year Dukas accepted an invitation from the “Camera Nazionale Della Moda Italiana” to participate in “Alta Moda”, a week of Italian haute couture and, more specific, in Fashion Calendar 2003, where 12 new talents from all over the world presented their collections.
The designer presented 15 pairs of Haute Couture shoes, which were characterized as sexy, subversive and a total luxury from the international press and the international fashion crowd as well. Vogue Italia magazine after the show named the Greek designer as a “subversive fetishist”.
The collection was also presented in many Greek editions of international fashion magazine such as Vogue Hellas, Elle, In Style, L’ Officiel, Madame Figaro, Marie Claire, Votre Beaute etc. In 2004 Dukas presented his collection in multi brand showrooms in Milan, taking the first steps for his international career. In the meantime, Dukas begins exporting his products in Europe, America and Asia (Tokyo, Los Angeles, New York, Marbella, Moscow, Monte Carlo, Saint Trope, London, Paris, Milan, Qatar).
He also had a successful cooperation with “Swarovski Hellas” and due to the Olympic Games of 2004 he was assigned to create an extremely subversive Haute Couture sandal made of leather, plexiglass and Swarovski crystal mesh (a material which contains crystals in the form of tessera) which presented the classic Greek motive of Meandros. The Olympic sandal, from 2004 until now,is being exhibited at the “International Swarovski Museum” in Austria and bears the signature Dukas Made in Hellas. Olympic Games medal winner Niki Xanthou was chosen to be the face of the advertising campaign for the Olympic sandal (shown below).
In September 2008 the international star Jennifer Lopez, during the concert she gave in Athens, marked the greek designer out and chose to keep a bag from Dukas a/w ’08 ’09 Collection before leaving the country. From the very beginning until now all Dukas Collection products continue to bear the signature Exclusively Made in Hellas. The collection is hosted at selected outlets and big departments all over Greece; Dukas is the only Greek Prêt-à-Porter label which is being sold along with other big international designers’ brands.

The Alarm Dock By Jonas Damon Is Today's Technology Wrapped In A Throwback Style.
Remember those faux wood grain and plastic colored flip clocks that sat on every bedside table just a couple of decades ago? This Alarm Dock designed by Jonas Damon for AREAWARE is a throwback to the days of those bedside flip clocks.
above: Examples of popular bedside flip clocks from the 70s and 80s by General Electric, Krups and Sunbeam
The Alarm Dock uses a nostalgic product language to meet the progressively thin and disappearing profiles of consumer electronics. It is at once a critique and an accommodation to new technology. Made from sustainably harvested new growth Beech Wood, the Alarm Dock comes in 9 finishes:

Eyescream And Friends. A Uniquely Branded Creative Dessert Experience.
Eyescream and Friends launched in Barcelona last fall (September of 2012) and brings more than yummy tasting ice cream and sweets to its customers, it brings them a unique eating experience. From the same folks behind the clever Happy Pills Candy Boutique, Eyescream and Friends is a completely integrated creative project.
Everything from the initial strategy, graphic design and marketing materials to the store interior, industrial design, packaging and signage are all part of the self-serve dessert experience.
CHARACTERS
Cute little monster characters were developed to represent each of the flavors and appear on the business cards, exterior and interior signage:
THE PRODUCT
The 'eyescream', which is imported from Taiwan, is essentially gelato, frozen at -25º C in cylindrical cubes, which is then placed in a special machine which shaves it. The final result is a silky and smooth texture of eyescream.
Each eyescream order comes with 2 sugar candy "eyes" and two toppings:
FLAVORS:
• Cheesecake
• Vanilla
• Chocolate
• Yoghurt
• Wildberry Yoghurt
• Strawberry
• Mango
They also have Sorbets for those who are lactose-intollerant in Strawberry, Mango, and Watermelon flavors.
TOPPINGS:
You can choose 2 toppings to combine with your favorite eyescream. The toppings are a large variety of delicious syrups which combine nicely to enhance any of the eyescream flavors:
• Chocolate
• Condensed Milk
• Dulce de Leche
• Passion Fruit
• Strawberry
• Mango
• Kiwi
• Honeydew Melon
PACKAGING
Each serving is presented in smart eco-friendly packaging that functions as a plate to hold the eyescream and two toppings.
THE STORE
They built wooden low cost boxes for self-service, concentrating all the consumer experience. A fragmented facade, constructed from a large sign with "legs" has the ability to break down into a number of signs, when open to the public. One for external identity and another, when opened, works as informative product menu.
The bottled water served in the store, Tears of Joy, was also designed by Estudio m:
