Ah, the Sweet Smell of Design. Pantone Candles. Pantone Toothbrushes, Too!

Ah, so that's what PMS 15-5217 smells like.
Pantone Universe (the company behind the Pantone Matching System of colored inks) just keeps pumping out the products - this is actually my thirteenth post on Pantone-related products.

The latest Pantone-branded item for the home from the color inks standard are scented Pantone candles in three sizes and 10 PMS colors. Apparently the candles are created by Belgium-based Ilanga for Pantone and like many of the their products for the home, they do not seem to be available in the US, at least not yet.

Although there is a dedicated website, it is not up and running, but you can purchase some of the candles at Vinçon (only Honeysuckle and twilight) and at Colette (where they carry 7 of them in two sizes).

Pantone Toothbrushes & Pantone Contact Lens Cases

In addition to the candles, other new offerings from the Pantone Universe are Pantone Toothbrushes in a set of five and Pantone Contact Lens cases.

Three Pantone Bikes - Color Me 364C With Envy!

Forgive me for not including these in the latest Pantone products post I just put up on October 5th, but I wasn't aware of these colorful wheels until just now.

Pantone Universe has collaborated with GIC bikes (who make several branded bikes like Renault bikes and SAAB bikes) to come out with a family of 3 Pantone Universe Bicycles. The Town or City Bike, a folding bike, the FDB166 and the Pantone Universe Basic 20.

The GIC Bike company of Japan has three styles of Pantone Universe Bikes; the Town Bike, The FDB166 Folding bike collection and the most recent addition to the line, The Basic 20. Unfortunately, they are only available in Japan. Big Boo-hoo.

The Basic 20
The newest member of the Pantone Universe Bike Collection is the Pantone Universe Basic 20, a white bike whose back wheel's inner rim is colored to match the pantone color details.

The Basic 20 comes in Vivid Blue, Orange and Lime Green and is the least expensive of the three:

GIC also makes matching bike locks for the bikes:

As I said earlier in the post, these lust-worthy bikes are only available in Japan and I am positively 364 C with envy.

Pantone Printed Leather Chair

This digitally printed leather chair by Sif Technology has a Pantone color spectrum as the pattern. Exhibited at NeoCon '09, the chair is not production (too bad!) but it was an example of their printing on leather capabilities.
