Judson Beaumont's Latest Whimsical Furniture From Straight Line Designs
A ways back I wrote three different posts on furniture for children that would make one's room look like Dr. Seuss meets Alice In Wonderland. One of the designers, the very talented Judson Beaumont of Straight Line Designs has added many wonderful pieces to his collection since I last blogged about him.
Take a look at some of his newest additions.

Vincent Leman's Warped Sense Of Style: Dust Furniture
I have written not one, but two, posts on furniture that has a 'cartoon' style to it. Judson Beaumont's Straightline furniture and the Porter's Cartoon Furniture®
Vincent Thomas Leman's line of furniture, Dust*, steps that up a bit with more adult styling, yet is still delightfully whimsical. So, here's your third cartoon-like furniture line:
Dust Furniture is a collection of studio furniture from craft artist Vincent Thomas Leman. Vincent has built one-of-a-kind pieces for years, but released this line to accommodate the demand for reproducible versions of his work.
A key part of Vincent Leman's creation process is the integration of function into the form. The artist strives to create furniture that is functional to the degree that it may be successfully integrated into daily life, yet--equally important--provides a spark to brighten the routine of daily life. He finds joy in discovering new ways to mix art and life and to make art more accessible.
Leman's work has been described as 'abstract traditional furniture.' Each piece is essentially a traditional furniture form that is stretched, curved, stacked, and stepped to fit his design intentions. While he works in wood, Leman considers his actual medium to be 'traditional furniture.' The classical root of each piece helps maintain its identity as furniture and keeps the work familiar and approachable despite the unusual shapes.

If Dr. Seuss Were Your Decorator: Introducing Cartoon Furniture.
When it comes to unusual furniture, my post about Judson Beaumont's cartoon styled furniture for kids always gets a lot of attention. But he's not the only one making whimsical furniture for children's rooms.
Introducing a company actually named "Cartoon Furniture" whose fun products will make you feel as though you are living in an animated world. The brainchild of Randall and Sharon Porter, they combined their experiences as an architectural lighting designer and make-up artist to form Cartoon Furniture®.

The line includes dressers, bookcases, headboards, wall mirrors, side tables and even bulletin boards and a clock. They use only the finest woods and materials to manufacture their whimsical line. All the pieces are painted over and over until the finish is perfect using only the best non-toxic, lead-free and child-safety paint and finishes. Top, bottom, back and sides are all painted, there is no exposed wood. Their drawers slide on Swiss Stainless Steel Slides with ball-bearings and each drawer includes a safety stop to prevent the drawer from falling out completely.
Their furniture is so animated in its design, I half expect them to get up and dance away! Take a look at some of their pieces.
