Custom Kicks Feature Pop Culture Anti-Heroes from Breaking Bad, Walking Dead, Parks & Recreation, Dexter & Shameless.
The Avenue in California's Venice Beach uses cutting edge technology to allow anyone to custom design a pair of kicks. They have created custom Chucks for many a celebrity and sell several uniquely designed pairs that celebrate pop culture.
My personal favorites are a series of nicely illustrated Converse Chuck Taylors and Vans Slip Ons by Jon Defreest that feature TV's favorite Anti-Heroes; Walter White (Bill Cranston) and Jessie Pinkman (Aaron Paul) from Breaking Bad, Zombie Hunter Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) from Walking Dead, Shameless' Deadbeat drunken dad Frank Gallagher (Bill Macy), everyone's favorite Serial Killer, Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall) and lovable mustachioed Ron Swanson (Nick Offerman) from Parks and Recreation.

Kenzo and Vans Present Their First Collaboration. A Peek At The Sneaks.
Kenzo and Vans have collaborated for the first time: from May to July, three capsule collections of Vans shoes will be available. First up is the Era skate shoe, revisited by Kenzo’s designers in seven different colours, and available mid-May in both men's and women's models, with prices starting at €90 ($119).
“We grew up in the suburbs of Los Angeles and we’ve been fans of Vans since we were very young: we have so many pairs of their shoes that it would be impossible to count them”, explained Humberto Leon and Carol Lim, Artistic Directors of Kenzo since July 2011 and also founders of the American label Opening Ceremony.
The three collections will be on sale in Kenzo’s boutiques, on Vans’s website and at a selection of retailers such as Colette, Harvey Nichols, Bosco Milan and Lane Crawford.

Another Marc Jacobs Collaboration: X Vans
Marc Jacobs is fast becoming the King of Collaborations and although he's been creating Vans since 2006, I haven't liked most of them until these two pairs from his Vans X collection.
The line art of a traditional perforated leather saddle shoe and that of a classic tennis shoe printed on a plain natural canvas pair of Vans turn these casual slip on shoes into witty pieces of art.
