This Girl Rocks. A Fetish Ride-On Toy For Adults by Peter Jakubik.

Peter Jakubik's adult rocking toy, the Pony Girl, is part of his collection of modern fetish designs. Having come a ways since his first version (seen in this post which featured the designers' high-heeled handbags), the adult rocking toy is now crafted from intentionally weathered plywood and waxed to a smooth finish. The silhouetted woman on her hands and knees is meant to be ridden.

X-Ray Pin-Up Calendar Sells Medical Monitors to Physicians.

This one's for my Dad, Larry, and his brother, my Uncle Bob.

This imaginative calendar for high resolution medical imaging monitors has been making the rounds on design and marketing blogs. Given that I am the daughter and niece of retired Radiologists, there was no way I was not going to blog about this.

Released just this month, the hilarious yet ingeniously appropriate promotional calendar targeting physicians was created by Berlin-based ad agency Butter for Eizo of Germany, a company that supplies high-end monitors for the observation and subsequent diagnosis, of radiographs (x-rays).

above: Radiforce monitors by Eizo.

X-rays of women posed seductively are featured for each month of the calendar year, playing off the tradition of Pin-up calendars.

Now, how do I get one for my father and uncle?

Deborah Sengl's Logo Pin Up Girls & Erotic Narratives

Much has been written about Austrian born artist Deborah Sengl's symbolic animal portraits, drawings and sculptures, which you can see more of here and her "Of Wolves And Sheep" exhibit but there are two other series of work that she's created that you might find of interest. I certainly do.

The first is a series of works clearly mocking the value we place on brand names by having them literally 'taking over' the female human figure in classic pin up poses. A commentary on our obsession with sex and branding.

The second is a series of erotic tapestries and assemblages (think Roy Lichtenstein meets Larry Flint). Some are assemblages of little plastic pieces glued together which are mocking 'ads' for sex toys, complete with the clicheés of advertising such as "NEW" and starbursts. Clearly illustrating society's preoccupation with sex in advertising.

Please note, the following images are inappropriate for those under 18 and NSFW.

Others are actual woven, embroidered or stitched narratives of orgies and oral sex, framed in heavy gilded classic frames.
