The iconic, edgy actress takes the lead in the 2014 edition of the Calendar which is entitled 'Worldwide Celebrations', with each month focusing on a unique festival from a number of different cultures around the world. Through this intriguing new theme, Campari intends to highlight how cultures around the world have become more global than ever before, and reinterprets each celebration through its spirit made of passion, style and charisma.

From Spring Festival in Beijing, the biggest celebration in China, to Hanami in Japan, where people enjoy the beautiful cherry blossoms of spring, the 2014 Calendar provides a window on the world and invites fans of Campari to embark on a global voyage of discovery.

The celebrations in the Calendar span every continent and also include Midsummer's Eve in England, during which revellers celebrate the Summer Solstice at the historic Stonehenge, and the bright and exhilarating Reveillon in Brazil, the biggest New Year Celebration in the world.

On starring in the 2014 Campari Calendar, Uma Thurman comments:

"To be a part of such a globally-renowned project for an iconic worldwide brand is a pleasure. I particularly admire the theme this year as I am able to share a worldwide journey of discovery, passion and style with Campari lovers around the globe. Each month, the true essence of a 'global celebration' has been captured beautifully thanks to Koto, a highly-acclaimed photographer with a keen eye for creating intriguing, stimulating and truly dynamic imagery."

To work on this project with a beautiful and talented actress such as Uma Thurman is an honour, and has provided me with an opportunity to push the Calendar's boundaries and defiantly capture the passion and style which is centered on this year's truly inspiring theme."

Actress Tilda Swinton Kills It In These Fabulous Fashions Shots by Craig McDean

above: Tilda Swinton in Mark Fast

She may look a bit alien, but Scottish actress and artist Tilda Swinton knows how to strike a pose.  The muse for many fashion designers, you can see why in these stunning photos. AnOther Magazine has a flashback section in which they show the best bits from their archives and these images stopped me in my tracks. They are from the magazine's S/S09 issue's cover shoot, in which Tilda was photographed by Craig McDean and styled by Panos Yiapanis wearing some of that season's most exciting new designers and looking like a million bucks. May be a few years old, but Tilda, the photography and even the fashions hold up nicely.

Steven Klein's Futuristic Fashion Editorial For Vogue - 6 Stunning Spreads

A longtime fan of Steven Klein's photography, I'm always impressed by his unusual look of fashion editorials and ads without sacrificing the products he is featuring.

In his latest work for the 2013 September issue of Vogue, The Final Frontier, he incorporates the modern and somewhat steampunk / post-apocalyptic steel house of late architect/artist Robert Bruno as the backdrop for his vision of the future. Klein's work is so beautifully composed, there are images within the images, which is why I've included several enlarged and cropped details for you as well as the original photos.

Clothes and coats with modern lines in predominantly solid colors pop from his magenta-blue saturated images and even Google Glass makes an appearance as the eyewear of choice.

Below are the six beautiful fashion spreads (and close-ups), complete with Vogue's description and prices of the featured fashions.

Sight Lines:

Gucci black leather turtleneck, $2,300; select Gucci boutiques. Michael Kors patent leather gloves and belt.

Heavy Metal

details:

above: Spare planes of fabric are carved into organic shapes—an intersection of hypermodern and earthy, underscored by the setting: an experimental house of 110 tons of rusted steel, built by the late architect Robert Bruno near Lubbock, Texas. On Niklas Garrn (far right): Dior Homme suit throughout.

Forbidding Planet

On Raquel: Narciso Rodriguez tangerine shift, $1,895; neimanmarcus.com. Céline necklace. Michael Kors heels. On Toni: Balenciaga wool-mohair sweater with plaster effect ($1,545), crepe pants ($1,235), and boots; clothing at Balenciaga, NYC. On Niklas: de Grisogono watch.
