Kit Kat's Tribute To Lego

Kit Kat continues to engage people and set social media sites abuzz with their fun guerilla marketing projects. Their latest is a tribute to Lego. They created their own unofficial Lego Kit Kat kit, if you will, to encourage people to "Build Their Own Break"- a play on the candy's long time tagline. The boxed set is numbered 27325 and has been named #LEGOKITKAT.

Kit Kat Lego 3 IIHIH

Yesterday, they sent the following press release to Lego brick fans and sites:
Here at KIT KAT we are huge fans of LEGO. Because nobody is better at building a great break than LEGO, except for us maybe. So during one of our occupational breaks we came up with the idea of a KIT KAT entirely made of LEGO bricks.

We call the result simply #LegoKITKAT and it comes with a lot of authentic details: the KIT KAT logo, a red wrapper, four chocolate fingers, layers of wafer and even a snapping sound when you break it! And even though we don´t really expect #LegoKITKAT to hit the shops anytime soon, we gave it a stylish box anyway. But the best bit about it: everyone can build his very own perfect break from it. Introducing Lego KIT KAT with more than 1 million in 1 breaks.

Go build your own break – A tribute to Lego. Have a break, have a Lego KIT KAT.

Giant LEGO Snowglobe Features 14 London Landmarks For Christmas.

For the past few years, the first LEGO Certified Professional in the UK, Duncan Titmarsh of Bright Bricks, has created large LEGO sculptures for Christmas and displayed them in various public venues in the UK. Last year, it was a giant LEGO Advent Calendar in London's Covent Garden’s West Piazza and in 2011, the World's Larget LEGO Christmas Tree (35 feet tall) displayed at St. Pancras station.

This year, London’s Covent Garden’s West Piazza celebrates the launch of the world’s first LEGO Snow Globe. It features an inflatable snowglobe in which LEGO sculptures of 14 London landmarks including Shakespeare's Globe Theater, the London Eye, The Battersea Power Station and Big Ben are placed. The snowglobe, which can be walked into via an archway, took six people over 75 days to build, used 120,000 LEGO bricks and stands over 3 meters tall.

some close-ups:

The Snow Globe and its festive scene of London will be open to the public free of charge from November 14th to December 22nd.

The Meth Lab From TV's Breaking Bad Is Impressively Reconstructed In Legos.

above: the Lego version of the Meth Lab in Breaking Bad; below: the tv show's Meth Lab

A crafty brick builder has recreated the Meth lab from the TV drama Breaking Bad, complete with minifigs.

The Lego version of the Meth Lab:

io9 reports "If you've ever wondered what the taut methamphetamine drama Breaking Bad would look like as an innocent plastic brick diorama, ponder no longer. Redditor GaryIsYouDotCom recently posted his friend's reconstruction of the show's state-of-the-art clandestine drug lab.

Minifigs representing the actors:

Actors Bryan Cranston (Walter White) and David Costabile (Gale Boetticher) in Breaking Bad:

There's no laundromat above it, but there are recreations of Gale's coffee machine, Walt's pure blue crystal meth, chicken merchant Gustavo Fring, and that episode where Walter goes bonkers trying to kill the fly. Blast some TV on the Radio while you ogle this, and then go into the bathroom and practice your Heisenberg face.

a few side-by-sides for you that I constructed:
