These Are PAINTINGS And No, I'm Not April Fooling You.
I thought this would be the perfect post for the first of April, a day when most people are punking, pranking, and just plain joking, because this artwork is pretty hard to believe. But it's for real.

At first glance, Eloy Morales' "Paint In My Head" series looks like an exploration in photographic self-portraiture, but what is so phenomenal is that these works, created from 2009-2013, are not photographs, but are large scale oil paintings and in one case, a pencil drawing. Eloy created 9 large scale images (averaging a little over 5' x 5') of his own face covered in everything from mud to paint. Here they are in chronological order.
