The Ocean Sink from Il Bagno Bandini Resists Scratches and Breaking.

Il Bagno Bandini's Ocean wash basin is a sculptural sink inspired by the waves of the ocean available in black or white. The distinctive design means the sinks can be assembled in a line or at 90° allowing for various installations and designs. The vessels are made of Tecnoform, a shiny acrylic very similar to ceramic and it is resistant towards scratches and breaking.

Cogliati Cogliati Bath Has A Clear Design Distinction, Literally.

Italian bathroom design company Cogliati...Cogliati had a clearly different point of view on sink and vanity design. And I mean that literally. Their bathroom sinks, basins, vanities and cabinets incorporate modern transparent glass, materials and design.

Cogliati is a trademark of VETRARIA WE WOULD Ltd., a company that has forty years of experience in working with glass in the furniture industry and construction. Cogliati was specifically started in 2005, with designer Giuseppe ViganĂ² at the helm, as a faction of the company to highlight the use of glass materials a new area of business. Original sinks, cabinets, mirrors, faucets and accessories made with their water cutting glass technology and computer design are the result.

Encased in tempered glass, the sinks use materials like stone, concrete, and enamel and are also available with screen-printed glass. Here's a look at much of the collection.

Use Too Much Water And Poor Little Fish Floats Belly Up.

Industrial designer Yan Lu is hoping that you'll think twice about your water consumption if you think of it as draining the home of a poor little fish, hence the name of his innovative design.

The wash basin, "Poor Little Fish", topped off with a fishbowl, not only looks interesting but works in such a manner that, if you're a fish lover, will not have you wasting a drop.

Why? Because as you turn on the faucet and let the water flow, the level of water in the fish bowl lowers proportionate to the amount of running water you are using. Let the water run for too long and you've got a fish out of water. Don't fret though, the water level in the bowl returns to normal after turning off the faucet. And it's designed in such a way that the water from the tap is pure because the pipeline does not connect to the water in the fish bowl.

The project was first shown in 2008 at the Kith Kin exhibit, a London based art & design cooperative, producing events exhibitions and projects to inspire. Then at Designersblock London in 2009
